Eichhörnli Chalet sits on a quiet hillside above Engelberg. Across 95 m² and two floors, this semi-detached home combines mountain views and welcoming living spaces with easy access to the village, Brunni and Titlis.
The house
This tasteful four-room semi-detached house offers modern comforts. The ground floor lounge has sofas by the fireplace, a large flat-screen TV, radio/CD and dining table. The kitchen includes an oven, microwave and dishwasher.
The conservatory has wide panoramic windows, a dining table and a seating or sleeping area with a single bed and pull-out bed. It opens directly onto the furnished terrace, barbecue and hot tub.
Bedrooms & bathroom
On the hillside entrance level there is a cloakroom, one double bedroom with a desk and balcony, and another double bedroom with a French bed.
The bathroom has a bathtub with shower and washbasin; the toilet is separate. The lounge sofas can each sleep two, but occupancy is strictly limited to six guests.
Engelberg location
The quiet hillside setting offers broad views across Engelberg and towards Titlis. The pedestrian centre, shops and restaurants are about 1.5 km away, with indoor and outdoor pools around 1.7 km away.
The Brunni and Titlis lifts are each approximately 2.5 km away. Sunday arrivals are generally unavailable; exceptions must be arranged in advance.
Hot tub information
With correct use, the hot tub reaches up to 39°C. After a water change it can take up to 36 hours to heat. Please shower first and do not wear swimwear washed with fabric softener.
The hot tub may occasionally be unavailable for cleaning or maintenance. No refund or credit is provided. If it is essential to your stay, please confirm availability before booking.
Access & equipment
The entire house is available to guests. A DeLonghi EN80.B PL CH and a Nespresso Club coffee machine are provided, along with ample firewood and barbecue wood.
Cooking staples are usually present but quantities cannot be guaranteed. At least one rubbish bag is stored in the oil room.
Waste disposal
Waste must be disposed of in official fee-based bags, available for example at Coop, and placed in the silver containers in the village.
Two containers are passed when driving down towards Dorfstrasse; further collection points are available in the village.
